When big city radio host Charlie King is forced to take a job managing a small-town station, he has no idea what’s in store! Not only does a pandemic begin his first week in Port Belette, but he quickly finds himself chasing a story of municipal corruption. From playwright and actor Mark Crawford comes a hilarious one-man comedy about a down-on-his-luck DJ, a local lottery, and the search for truth in these unprecedented times.

Mark Crawford is one of Canada’s most-produced playwrights. His work has been seen across the country and internationally. He is the author of The New Canadian Curling Club; Boys, Girls, and Other Mythological Creatures; The Birds and the Bees; Bed and Breakfast; and Stag and Doe. For CBC Podcasts/Expect Theatre, he wrote the audio drama Don’t Get Me Startered. As an actor, he has performed from coast to coast. For Festival Players, Mark appeared in The Notorious Right Robert in 2013 and Stag and Doe was produced by the company in 2015. He grew up on his family's farm near Glencoe, Ontario, studied theatre at University of Toronto and Sheridan College, and now lives in Stratford.

Crawford is most impressive in the way he sketches full characters with just a few lines and, in so doing, swiftly constructs a world that seems to have existed long before the house lights dim
