Accessibility

The following policy and services are part of the County Stage’s plan to meet the standards of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (2005), and to serve the diverse needs of our patrons. We are committed to providing accessible services in a manner that maintains the dignity and independence of all our patrons while providing equality of access and integration.

 General Assistance

If you require accessibility assistance, our Front of House Manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to happy to help you. We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to performance, or contact us ahead of time to pre-arrange assistance info@countystage.ca.

Accessible Parking

Parking spaces are available immediately adjacent to the outdoor Pavilion and the Red Barn Theatre. Please identify yourself to the parking attendant volunteer when you arrive on site to be directed to accessible parking.

Service Animals

Guide dogs and other service animals are welcome. 

 Washroom Accessibility

Outdoor washrooms are porta-potties on site near our tent. 

We have fully accessible washrooms for wheelchair access in the indoor Red Barn Theatre.

Outdoor Eddie Pavilion

  • Our outdoor Pavilion venue is accessible, but please note the ground is uneven in places, but staff will assist in making sure you are able to access the audience area. We have removable seats, so you’ll be able to choose your location to watch the show.

Wheelchair and Low Mobility Access
Indoor Red Barn Theatre

  • Our Red Barn Theatre has stairs at the front entrance, but a graded grass slope leading to the back entrance. Vehicles will be given permission to drive up the slope at the back and drop off patrons requiring assistance with wheelchair or low mobility access. We have removable seats, so you’ll be able to choose your location to watch the show.

Accessibility at The regent theatre

The Regent Theatre is fully compliant with Ontario’s accessibility laws and standards.

  • The lobby, concession, washrooms and accessible seating terraces are fully wheelchair accessible.

  • Ample barrier-free space is located upon entry to the theatre in our accessible seating terrace. 

  • Complimentary companion seating in the accessible seating terrace is offered to those requiring accompaniment for movies and live shows.* Some exceptions may apply in circumstances where the event is a rental.

  • Accessible seating on the accessible seating terraces is indicated on the seating map by a blue square. These tickets must be purchased in person or by phone.

  • Guide dogs and service animals are permitted on the accessible seating terrace. If it is not readily apparent that the animal is being used because of a person’s disability the person with the disability must be prepared to show a letter from a doctor or nurse confirming that it required for reasons relating to their disability.

  • Thursday afternoon films are offered with Open Captions whenever available.

  • Assistive hearing devices are available on request at the box office for all movies.

  • Ear plugs & booster seats are available at box office upon request.

  • The front doors are equipped with an automated door opener, and both our Concession area and Box Office are barrier-free.

  • A first aid kit is located behind the concession.

Customers with special requirements may wish to email in advance boxoffice@theregenttheatre.org to notify our staff of their needs.

For general admission events patrons are welcome to select or move to a seat they find most comfortable. Seating priority will always be given to those with demonstrable accessibility needs on the accessible seating terraces.

Accessibility at Mt. Tabor Playhouse

Mt. Tabor Playhouse is an accessible building. The building is wheelchair accessible via ramp at south end of building and one of the three washrooms is accessible as well. There is a ramp from the main entrance/lobby area into the theatre.
